HCSI Healthcare Career Seeker Inventory

HCSI Overview

Everyone wants to work in Healthcare, but not everyone is suited for Healthcare.

The HCSI identifies the individuals who possess the behavioral competencies necessary for success in healthcare.

ASSESSMENT:
The HCSI evaluates nine healthcare competencies and predicts the likelihood of an individual being successful in various Job Families (Nursing, Patient Care, Entry-Level Service, Administrative/Clerical and Technical/Professional).

The HCSI was developed from the Healthcare Selection Inventory, a behavioral based, pre-employment assessment endorsed by the American Hospital Association and used in over 500 Healthcare Organizations throughout 43 states.

Now you can use this information to screen-in the candidates who possess the behavioral competencies healthcare employers are demanding.

REALISTIC JOB PREVIEW (RJP):
Individuals without healthcare experience may not be familiar with some of the common requirements they may encounter.

For example, the HCSI will ask how willing an individual is to: Work on call; work weekends, work holidays, work around bodily fluids, work nights, etc..

The RJP has been designed to collect information from the career seeker and ensure their expectations are aligned with actual job requirements.

INTERVIEW:
The HCSI includes a behavioral-based interview process to assist you in your intake process. It has been designed to identify those individuals best suited for your healthcare training program. Custom-questions are also provided for any “low” scores on the nine healthcare competencies measured in the assessment.

Structured interview guides are provided for each of the five Job Families (Nursing, Patient Care, etc.) and have been customized for Healthcare Career Seekers (i.e. prior healthcare experience is not assumed).

DEVELOPMENT:
Once an individual is accepted into the program, we want to assist them in creating an Individual Development Plan. This report is written directly to the career seeker and prescribes specific suggestions for their three lowest-ranked competencies.
